Silken Pleats

This piece is inspired by the line and form of a silken ruffed collar; the soft pleats of the collar itself and the more coarse and rigid form of the grosgrain ribbon that is used to tie it about the neck. The shapes of the textile parallel the organic forms of the body.

Where it's been: Recently included in Bare and Essential exhibition at Blitz Gallery in Toronto. Currently up at Eleven Thirty on College St, in Toronto.
